Many organizations in Amador and Calaveras counties are struggling in a very tough economy. Our donations will give them the opportunity to provide their organizations with the tools to better benefit the people in our community.

SELECTION of the 2024-2025 Mother Lode Newcomers & Friends will be determined by a majority membership vote at the April 2025 luncheon.

By the August 2024 MLNF Board meeting, our Club Philanthropic Chairwoman, Kathy Newman, had already mailed out numerous letters of interest to Amador charities. Discussion and a vote was taken to narrow the selection to three. Of those three chosen organizations, speakers will be invited to speak at the January, February, and March luncheons. The Amador charity receiving the most general membership votes  in April will determine our final recipient of MNLFs annual charity check.

Past Amador County charity recipients have provided much needed services to the community.  Mother Lode Newcomers & Friends Club is honored to be able to contribute to help to our neighbors.
